Ketchikan Adventure Sessions
For families who want to be outside
Some families are just not studio people.
They are boat people, trail people, beach people. The kind of family whose best days happen outside, when the kids are busy exploring and nobody is being asked to sit still and smile at the camera.
If that sounds like your family, this is probably the right fit.
These sessions are built around the places you already love. A beach you go to all summer. A trail your kids know by heart. A boat, a cabin, a stretch of coastline, somewhere that already feels like part of your family story. Every now and then, if home really is the place that fits best, we can do that too, but most of the time these sessions are made for being out in the world.Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
We are not trying to manufacture a moment here. We are just giving it space to happen.
You walk, you explore, your kids do their thing, and I work around that. Someone gets wet. Someone wants a snack. Someone ends up on your shoulders. Someone finds something wildly important on the ground and has to show everybody immediately. That is the stuff I am watching for. The way your family moves together. The small habits. The laughter. The chaos. The quiet bits in between.
I do not need your kids to perform for me. I do not need everything to run smoothly. In fact, the less it feels like a formal photo session, the better the images usually are.
That is why I love working this way.
I am paying attention to the light, the weather, the tide, the timing, and the landscape, but I am also paying attention to your family. When to step in. When to leave things alone. When to keep moving. When to slow it down. The job is not to control the session. It is to make something beautiful from real life while it is happening.
These sessions take more planning than a studio session, and I only take a small number each season.
If you want family photos that feel like your actual life, just with really good light and everything taken off your plate, this is the one.
Oh Christina, I am crying. These are beautiful! You were great...patient and relaxed. The kids were tired and I was stressed from preparing and getting everyone ready...You made it all feel easy. You are so talented and I can’t wait to see the rest. Best picture experience!
